ARIS, Agenzia di Ricerche Informazione e Società (Research and Information Agency) is a no-profit organisation dealing with information and communication in the sectors of industry and services, environment and energy, infrastructures and transports. Through the permanent observatory Nimby Forum®, Aris monitors the evolution of the Nimby phenomen in Italy. Founded in 2004, Nimby Forum® aims to promote a culture of communication, dialogue and participation at a territorial level. The acquired experience and cooperation with prominent people of the world of science, business and politics drove Aris to commit itself to realize an event such as the Festival dell'Energia that brings the issue of energy into the public arena.

Founded in 2002, Assoelettrica is the Italian National Association for Electric Companies, nowadays gathering 150 companies that operate in the free market, producing about 90% of the electrical energy generated in the country.
The institutional goal of this association is to investigate the most appropriate solutions in order to provide the electrical energy the country needs under the best economical conditions, reassuring reliability and safety. The aim is to enable a fully deregulated energy sector increasing its competitiveness on the market.
Assoelettrica, a promoter of the Festival that immediately recognised its innovation capability and its potentials, supports the Nimby Forum® Project since its outset.
